This is a blog exploring Peru and travelling smarter. It’s written by a student.
She wouldn’t call herself ‘well travelled’ but she’s been around a bit. Something that she loves about travel is the interesting conversations you have with people you meet. This is why she especially loves to begin her adventures alone. She’s more likely to go and find people to chat to and be spontaneous!
There is wisdom in turning as often as possible from the familiar to the unfamiliar; it keeps the mind nimble; it kills prejudice, and it fosters humor.
The blog’s angle is really about her interest in textiles. But before discovering the traditions of Peruvian textiles, the only thing she knew about Peru was that they had Machu Picchu, which she can at least spell now, and llamas. What’s worse, most of that knowledge came from watching The Emperor’s New Groove. To commemorate this, each blog post relates to an episode of the Emperor’s New School, the television spin off of the movie.
